As part of this commitment, we have established an enhanced sustainability process for the NVELOPEĀ® Aluminium product range.

Alloy 6005


Alloy 6005 is a versatile aluminium alloy known for its excellent mechanical properties and high strength-to-weight ratio.

Our NVELOPE Aluminium brackets have long been manufactured using Alloy 6005, selected not only for its superior physical properties but also for its potential environmental benefits.

This alloy can incorporate up to 100% recycled material, supporting a circular economy by minimising waste and reducing the need for new raw materials.

The use of Aluminium 6005 allows us to significantly reduce the demand for primary aluminium in the manufacturing of our NVELOPE Aluminium brackets, thereby conserving natural resources and lowering energy consumption.

Closed-Loop Recycling


Closed-loop recycling is a method where waste materials are collected, processed, and reused to create the same products. This system reduces the need for new raw materials and energy, thus lowering environmental impact by maintaining a continuous cycle of reuse.


We are proud members of the Council for Aluminium in Building (CAB) closed-loop recycling scheme. This prestigious program supports our goal of achieving substantial carbon reductions by recycling aluminium through a certified closed loop process.


Our participation in the CAB closed-loop recycling scheme allows SFS to conserve natural resources, reduce waste, and support the sustainable production of our NVELOPE Aluminium brackets.


Carbon 4 Technology


Carbon 4 technology represents the latest advancement in sustainable aluminium production, significantly reducing carbon emissions associated with the production of Alloy 6005.
At SFS, we recently made the move to exclusively use alloy 6005 produced with Carbon 4 technology in NVELOPE Aluminium products.
This transition helps align our manufacturing process with our commitment to sustainable practices. By incorporating Carbon 4 technology we can achieve a substantial reduction in the carbon footprint of our NVELOPE Aluminium product line.
