CCPI
The Code for Construction Product Information
The Code for Construction Product Information (CCPI) helps raise standards for how product information is created and maintained across the construction industry.
What is CCPI?
The CCPI is an industry-led code introduced by the Construction Product Association (CPA) following Dame Judith Hackitt’s review of Building Regulations and Fire Safety, commissioned in the wake of the Grenfell Tower tragedy.
The CCPI sets out an 11-clause code which sets expectations for how construction product manufacturers take responsibility for how product information is produced, checked and communicated.
At the centre of the Code are five core principles. Product information should be:
Clear
Accurate
Up-to-date
Accessible
Unambiguous
What does CCPI assessment involve?
The verification process reviews organisational behaviour and how product information is controlled and evidenced, including internal processes, management systems, and the evidence manufacturers submit for specific product sets against the CCPI clauses.
The CCPI is independently managed by CPI Ltd, a not-for-profit organisation established to oversee the Code and the verification of conformance.
Our Commitment
At SFS we support the CCPI’s aim to improve clarity, consistency and accountability in construction product information. We believe that customers should be able to rely on the information we provide..
The product information for our NVELOPE Rainscreen Sub-frame range has achieved the CCPI Assessed Product Mark, demonstrating that it has been independently assessed for conformance with the requirements of the Code for Construction Product Information.
This reflects our commitment to continually reviewing and improving the quality of the information we provide.
What does this mean?
The assessment relates to the product information associated with the assessed product range.
It demonstrates that the information has been assessed against the requirements of the CCPI. It should not be interpreted as an endorsement or guarantee of product performance.
Our CCPI Assessed Product Ranges
As part of our ongoing commitment to provide product information that meets CCPI standards we have currently achieved assessment against multiple product ranges. Full lists of the assessed products can be viewed here:

The Code for Construction Product Information (CCPI) is an industry-led code that aims to raise standards in construction product information and marketing. It sets expectations for manufacturers to provide information that is clear, accurate, up-to-date, accessible and unambiguous.
The CCPI Assessed Product Information Mark means that the product information and marketing for a defined product set have been independently assessed against the relevant clauses and minimum requirements of the Code. The uniquely numbered, time-limited mark applies only to the product set identified within the assessment scope.
No. The CCPI assessment applies to the information associated with the assessed product set, not the product itself. The mark is not product certification, a guarantee or warranty, and does not confirm product performance, quality, safety or suitability for a particular application.
CCPI supports greater clarity, consistency and accountability in construction product information. This helps specifiers, architects, contractors and purchasers make informed decisions using information that has been produced and managed in accordance with the Code. It does not replace the need to check a product's suitability for its intended application.
At SFS, the CCPI Assessed Product Information Mark applies only to the product information for the following product ranges:
- Flat Roof: SFS Fasteners for mechanically fastened flexible roof waterproofing sheets
- Fenestration Fasteners
- NVELOPE® Rainscreen Subframe System
- NVELOPE® Thermal Solutions Range
- Hinge Technology
It does not apply automatically to every SFS product or to information outside the scope of that assessment.
Current SFS product information and technical documentation can be found on the relevant product and system pages of our website. If you have previously downloaded a document or are unsure whether you have the latest version, contact the SFS Technical Team for verification and support.
