Our Toolbox Talks are short training sessions created to assist contractors, installers, and site managers in properly applying SFS systems and understanding their functionality.

Each session is customised to your project requirements and installation challenges and can be delivered remotely or on-site by our technical specialists. This practical advice promotes maximum performance of products, good industry practice, and increases safety.

Courses are available at our Leeds training centre covering all product systems, and at our Welwyn Garden City location for focused Rainscreen and Fall Protection system training.

Whatโ€™s covered in a Toolbox Talk?

Each session is designed to be clear, practical, and easy to implement on site. Topics can include:

  • Proper installation of self-drilling and self-tapping screws
  • Identifying correct substrate conditions
  • Avoiding over-tightening or misalignment
  • Anchor spacing and edge distance best practices
  • Thermal break and bracket installation
  • Understanding fixing selection based on substrate and load

Advantages of SFS Toolbox Talks

SFS Toolbox Talks support installers and contractors by providing hands-on guidance directly on site. Our experts can demonstrate product features and benefits, ensuring the system suits its intended application and is installed correctly from the start.

Where a system is already specified, we offer Toolbox Talks focused on best practices, proper use of equipment, and safe installation methods. These sessions help prevent errors, reduce rework, and ensure compliance with manufacturer instructions.

Who should attend?

Toolbox Talks are ideal for:

  • Faรงade and cladding installers
  • Site supervisors or foremen
  • New contractors working with SFS systems
  • Refresher sessions for experienced teams

Sessions typically last 20โ€“30 minutes and can be tailored to different skill levels.
