Developer

Objectives

• Development of international digital business application tools
• Project delivery to ensure effective and timely delivery of applications
• Maintain and improve existing and future in-house web / software developments
• First line application support for UK and international developed applications and transactional eshop

Principal Duties

• Development and delivery of online application tools which are both external and internal facing
• Learn and understand the architecture of our defined technical ecommerce environment including PIM platform
• Work with nominated third parties to manage development support and delivery of defined scope of works
• Examine, learn and understand our current systems, web / software developments
• Work internally with colleagues and existing 3rd parties to improve data accuracy, processes and reporting
• Maintain business continuity of our in-house web / software developments
• Work with end-users to discuss and understand scope of requirements to ensure the business requirements are fully supported
• Provide end user training and support for our in-house web / software developments
• Regularly review, report and maintain security and data integrity of our web / software developments
• Analytical reporting using various tools

Essential Criteria

• Technologies required – HTML5 / CSS / Javascript / Jquery.
• Experience PHP developer desirable 
• MySQL and/or SQL database skills desirable
• Agile working methodology experience 
• 3+ years commercial developer experience (including University Study for a related subject)
• Must enjoy the challenge of learning and implementing new skills and techniques
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, flexible, adaptable and part of a team
