Fall Protection Regional Product Manager

SFS is a market-leading producer of fastening systems, safety line systems, and bracket and rail systems for the construction industry. SFS UK - Division Construction currently has an opportunity for Regional Product Manager to join our team in Leeds. Reporting to the Business Unit Manager and based within our Fall Protection product line the position is ideal for an ambitious individual with a strong track record in a similar position or a recent graduate with a couple of years of industry experience.

Objectives

  • Product Manager for the SFS Fall Protection PL with responsibility for all existing and new product introductions
  • Coordinate all product development activities with BU Manager to deliver a market-leading product range of fall protection products
  • Provide technical product application support to all sales activities providing knowledge and backup to internal and external stakeholders
  • Develop an understanding of market requirements, trends, and behaviours, knowledge of competitor products there USPs/limitations
  • Daily product management and coordination of the Fall Protection product portfolio as required and agreed.

Principal duties

  • Develop and maintain knowledge of both European and international fall arrest standards and directives closely aligned to SFS Fall Protection product ranges
  • Support internal and external stakeholders to deliver product and applications-based output aligned to OEM and commercial requirements
  • Taking lead from the business unit manager to support technical development, product design, and product application in line with current European and international standards
  • Drive all internal and external testing demands for SFS Fall Protection product ranges aligned to the UK and international MO requirements
  • Responsibility for updating all product literature with both local and international stakeholders
  • Fully responsible for product planning and execution throughout the product range lifecycle including gathering and prioritising customer requirements
  • Define product vision working closely with sales and marketing support to ensure revenue and customer satisfaction
  • Ideally, hold a degree-level engineering qualification with a working knowledge of 2D and 3D design
  • Support production team manufacturing requirements addressing production issues and QC requirements for SFS Fall Protection assemblies
  • Providing UK customer service and supply chain liaison as and when required to support the SFS Fall Protection BU
